I research the most stressful moments in a product.
High stakes moments, like proving your identity, protecting your account and sharing sensitive information, shape how people feel about a product more than most teams realize. For four years at PayPal, I've used qual and quant methods to help teams understand what's actually happening for users and decide what to build next.
I believe good research reduces organizational risk, but is also inherently creative. It surfaces new opportunities and helps set product direction. However, to do that well, you have to understand the business as much as the problem you're researching.
Outside work, you'll find me hiking the Cascade mountains in Washington State and playing lots of pickup basketball!
